Bratwurst Sausages with Fried Onions, Spicy Mustard with Pickled Hot Pepper & Anchovy Home Fries

INGREDIENTS:

For the Home Fries:

2 Tablespoons Oil

2 Medium Potatoes cut into cubes, par-boiled until tender

1 Teaspoon Salt

1 Teaspoon Paprika

1Teaspoon Black Pepper

2 Anchovy Fillets

¼ Cup Pickled Hot Peppers

For the Sausages:

2 Tablespoons Oil

2 Bratwurst Sausages

2 Hoagie or Hot Dog Buns (split)

2 Onions peeled and thinly sliced, caramelized ahead of time

Spicy Mustard, for serving

BakerStone Portable Griddle

MAKES:

2 Servings

 

DIRECTIONS:

Step 1. Heat the oil over the preheated BakerStone Portable Griddle.

Step 2. Once heated, mix pre-cooked potatoes with paprika, salt & pepper. Sauté on the griddle until golden brown. Add the anchovy and pickled hot peppers. Cook until golden brown on each side. Once golden, remove to a plate and set aside.

Step 3. Add the sausages and buns (lightly tossed in oil to make them crispy). Once buns are toasted, and sausages are thoroughly heated, add the fried onions to the BakerStone Griddle.

Step 4. Place sausage in bun with fried onions & Keen’s Hot Mustard. Plate and enjoy!
